Orion Session at Darnell ES

Last week we had the privilege of presenting our all new electricity and magnetism module to the students at Darnell ES during our Orion Session!

During the session we learned about alternating current (AC), direct current (DC), electromagnetic induction, and ionization. Utilizing a Van de Graaff generator, students got to make their own lightning. At the conclusion of the session the mad scientists in the class got the chance to touch lightning from our miniature Tesla coil. It was an experience that will last a lifetime as the 5th graders at Darnell continue to dare to discover!
